Umashanker Yadav is the Founder Director of the Ahmedabad International Literature Festival.
After serving in the Indian Air Force for fifteen years, Umashankar set up his flagship venture, Ikon Barcode Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He is also the founder of Serene Publishers & Distributors and Ikon Label Industries. He is the founder member of Elan Sports and Wordzville Writers Club.
Umashanker holds an MA in English Literature and MBA (Marketing), as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. His book of poems Beyond Dreamz was published in 2015. He has coedited several anthologies of poems Lifenama, Kuchh Panne Dil Se and Essence of Emotions along with Rashmi Goyal. A regular marathon runner, Umashanker promotes running and other healthy habits by organizing various activities and has helped convert many nonrunners into runners.
By her own admission, this is not as important to her as her love for the written word, for the quest for meaning, for the observation of Life.
Jean loves to talk and write about things she observes and feels. She also loves to learn. She believes that “we teach best what we most need to learn”, and is looking for to an exploratory journey of learning and fun with the participants of her poetry course Loving the Logic and Magic of Poetry.
